This is the first time I am learning about Roadfood Festival. So, I can't tell you about the Festiival, except the information that has been presented by the Festival itself. I included information from their website...Roadfood.com.
Listen, if its' food and its' New Orleans..It will be another wonderful Festival.
We will think up all kinds of excuses to have a gathering of people to eat, drink and make merry.
The New Orleans Roadfood Festival kicks off with a true Roadfood party
featuring the best barbecue from Alabama, Camp Washington Cincinnati
chili, cracklin's from Cajun country, all the shrimp and oysters you
can eat, an open bar, KJoe's celebrated Creole bread pudding, and
pralines made on the spot.
The highlight of the party will be the presentation of the first annual Roadfood Blue Plate Award to Anthony and Gail Uglesich, who made their longstanding family cafe into a beacon that attracted culinary pilgrims to New Orleans from around the
world.
It all takes place in a French Quarter setting outsiders rarely
get to experience: the historic Boucvalt House, a three-story Greek
Revival home built in 1841, now meticulously restored to antebellum grandeur.
This event is sold out, but the rest of the events still have openings.
Here is how it all started:
Roadfood.com was conceived in 2000 as a website devoted to finding the most memorable local eateries along the highways and back roads of America. The entire Roadfood Team has contributed thousands of hours of their personal time to create and enhance Roadfood.com so that you, the user, can enjoy the many features of the site. Unlike many dotcom ventures, Roadfood.com is an entirely volunteer effort launched with no expectation of ever making money.
